Mr. Smith serves as President of Edison Power Constructors. Prior to joining EPC, Mr. Smith served as the Sr. Vice President of Project Delivery at PLH Group, Inc., Edison’s corporate parent. He brings 25 years of diverse experience in energy and utilities, including work in engineering, construction, energy management and consulting, and customer relationship management.
Mr. Smith was Director of the Project Management Office for Henkels & McCoy, one of the largest privately held engineering and construction firms serving the communications and utility industries. He joined Henkels & McCoy after seven years in the energy management and consulting field. Mr. Smith worked for 12 years at TXU and its predecessor companies in distribution engineering, distribution operations, and key account management.
Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas.
Executive Vice President
Mr. Seutter has more than 20 years of supervisory and management experience in every aspect of power transmission and distribution. As Foreman and General Foreman, Mr. Seutter led multiple overhead and underground projects and set new performance and safety records while working on a doc crew for PG&E.
Mr. Seutter’s extensive project management experience contributed to successful client partnerships with Bonneville Power Administration, Puget Sound Energy, Pacific Power & Light, Portland General Electric, Commonwealth Edison, Jacksonville Electric Authority, Tennessee Valley Authority, and American Transmission Company.
As an OSHA partnership steering committee participant from 2006-2009, he helped pave the way for safer working conditions and implementing industry best practices. Mr. Seutter obtained his Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University in 2008. Mr. Seutter is a current member of IBEW local 659 in Medford, OR.
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Commeau contributes over 38 years experience of field, supervisory, and management in the electrical power industry as a Manager, Superintendent, Supervisor, General Foreman, and Journey Linemen across a wide variety of projects including the TRTP project for SCE.
He joined Edison Power constructors in 2013 to serve as Vice President of Western Operations. Mr. Commeau is highly regarded in the strategic planning, mobilization, and execution of transmission, substation, distribution, and design projects to 765 EHV with such companies as Salt River Project, PAR Electrical Contractors, and EC Source for a wide variety of clients across North America such as SRP, APS, Northeast Utilities, Connecticut Power & Light, ITC, ATC, Entergy, Dominion Power, PPL, and others.
He possesses significant experience in the planning and field management of a range of helicopter light, medium, and heavy lift operations related sock line installation and structure erection.
Mr. Commeau is a current member of IBEW local 769 in Phoenix Arizona.
CUSP, Director of Safety, Quality Environmental
Mr. Weyhrauch joined Edison Power shortly after their formation in 2013. He brings to our company more than 18 years of documented professional safety management success in Union environments. Don began his safety career working for a union framing company in the Bay Area. He moved on to oversee heavy construction safety management at MCM Construction in California. He joined the Kiewit organization in the late 90’s and worked his way up from Project Safety Manager to the position of District Safety Manager at Kiewit’s then Northern California District where he was recognized for his performance by being selected to become a stockholder. After years in California Don was transferred to Kiewit Power Constructors in Kansas where he served as District Safety Manager before being promoted to Project Safety Manager on a design-build 130 mile double circuit 345kV line in Utah. In the fall of 2010 Mr. Weyhrauch joined Henkels and McCoy and served as their Southern California Regional Safety Manager.
Don is as effective in corporate board rooms as he is on complex, fast-paced heavy construction union projects. Don became a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) in 2014 with Generation and T-Line endorsements
Fleet Operations Manager
Mr. Crawford joined Edison Power Constructors in 2016 having a strong understanding of fleet management procedures and policies. Mr. Crawford brings 7 plus years of diverse experience in fleet management and logistics. Including 5 Years managing over-the-road trucking fleets with Knight Transportation one of the country’s largest OTR companies, and 2 years of Utility fleet management with Centuri Construction.
Mr. Crawford is responsible for all activities relating to the Edison Power fleet trucks, heavy equipment, trailers and tools. This includes maintenance, all local/state/federal regulatory compliance and reporting. He ensures all vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs are followed in a timely manner per preventive maintenance schedules. Most importantly Mr. Crawford sets a high bar to insure customer satisfaction by delivering vehicles and equipment to the multiple Edison Power job sites on time. In addition, he fully understands the value of open communication lines with vendors, staff and upper management, resulting in a positive and productive workplace.
Mr. Crawford oversees a staff of field and shop mechanics, several hundred pieces of equipment and an operating budget of 5 million.
