Edison Power Constructors has a 5 year distribution maintenance and construction contract for Broward and East regions of Florida Power & Light (FPL). In addition, Edison was awarded a separate 3 year MSA to do various distribution power related work for FPL.

For this program, Edison performs distribution hardening work to strengthen FPL’s distribution system due to weather related occurrences that pose a significant threat to the utilities system. This includes but is not limited to installation of overhead distribution equipment including steel and concrete poles, anchor, and other equipment.

FPL services 4.8 million customers using approximately 3200 miles of distribution voltage cable. Edison employees 50 full time employees in south Florida to service distribution work for FPL.
